A pegmatite vein found during the 18th century near Montbrison by a local mineralogist called Imbert. This deposit was studied in 1780 by the famous French mineralogist Jacques Louis de Bournon who destroyed the outcrop so that the place will never be found! Several specimens are now in collections of the d'Allard Museum at Montbrison and of the National Museum of Natural History at Paris.
