Reference for age:
Webb, A. W., Stevens, N. C., & McDougall, I. (1967). Isotopic age determinations on Tertiary volcanic rocks and intrusives of southeastern Queensland. In Proceedings of the Royal Society of Queensland (Vol. 79, No. 7, pp. 79-92).
Köppen climate type:
Main Range and Bunya Mountains, Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia form a continuous belt of lavas and intrusions extending NNE for 220km from the southern boundary of Queensland. The volcanic rocks have an area of c. 4900km² and an estimated volume of c. 1000km² (Stevens et al. 1989).
The southern part of Main Range is heavily dissected and has high peaks, whereas the northern part forms a plateau with mesas developed in some parts. Two volcanic formations are distinguished in southern Main Range: The Lower Governors Chair Volcanics and the upper Superbus Basalt, they have a combined thickness of c. 900m.
Northern Main Range has 2 formations: Meringandan Volcanics and Tooowoomba Basalt.

Geochronology
Mineralization age: Oligocene : 25.2 ± 0.2 MaImportant note: This table is based only on rock and mineral ages recorded on mindat.org for this locality and is not necessarily a complete representation of the geochronology, but does give an indication of possible mineralization events relevant to this locality. As more age information is added this table may expand in the future. A break in the table simply indicates a lack of data entered here, not necessarily a break in the geologic sequence. Grey background entries are from different, related, localities.
