🔐 La #ciberseguridad se ha convertido en un elemento clave para garantizar la resiliencia de la logística, el transporte y el IoT. En este contexto, nuestro experto Miguel Mansilla Guzman. CISA, PMP ha participado en la “I Jornada sobre Ciberseguridad en Logística, Transporte e IoT”, organizada por la Cátedra de Ciberseguridad INCIBE-UPV. Durante su intervención, Miguel ha compartido la experiencia de ITENE en materia de ciberseguridad, poniendo en valor las soluciones #tecnológicas y #estrategias que contribuyen a proteger infraestructuras críticas y procesos logísticos frente a las amenazas digitales emergentes. 💬 La jornada también ha abordado las principales amenazas identificadas por la European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) en este ámbito. Temperature monitoring and logging are essential for ensuring product quality in the pharmaceutical industry, both during storage and transit. Many other industries with cold and frozen supply chains rely on portable electronic devices that are often single-use and difficult to recycle or compost. In ECOTRON, ITENE redesigned temperature monitoring devices using the latest advances in printed electronics, incorporating recycled materials or new materials with improved recyclability and recoverability. Multiple prototypes have been produced to evaluate scalable manufacturing with these sustainable designs. They are currently being tested under real-life storage conditions in the clinical supply chain at J&J Innovative Medicine Belgium, and laboratory tests are planned to assess performance and durability during transportation.

🌍 La transición hacia una economía #circular es uno de los grandes #retos de nuestro tiempo. Alcanzarla requiere no solo compromiso, sino también #innovación #tecnológica capaz de transformar los sistemas de producción y consumo, impulsando técnicas y soluciones que favorezcan un entorno más sostenible. En este contexto, la directora técnica de ITENE, Carmen Sanchez, ha participado este martes en el VII Congreso de Packaging y Economía Circular, organizado por el Cluster de Innovación de Envase y Embalaje, del que ITENE forma parte.  💬 Durante su intervención en la mesa de debate sobre tecnologías dinamizadoras de la economía circular, Carmen ha compartido la visión de ITENE sobre cómo la investigación y el desarrollo tecnológico pueden acelerar la transición hacia modelos más #sostenibles y #eficientes en el ámbito del #envase y #embalaje. ♻️ ¿Cómo mejorar la recuperación de materiales y avanzar hacia una economía más circular? El #pretratamiento para el #reciclado de #residuos se ha convertido en un paso clave para optimizar la recuperación de materiales y facilitar su reintroducción en la cadena de valor. 🌿 A large part of the organic coatings market contains per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Compounds that, while providing excellent water and oil-repellent properties, are associated with health risks, as well as toxic impacts on the environment. To face this challenge, ITENE is participating in the European project BIO-SUSHY Project, which aims to develop innovative PFAS-free coatings with hydrophobic and oleophobic properties, offering safer and more sustainable alternatives for industry. As part of this project, our expert Javier Alcodori Ramos took part in the 3rd edition of the Safe and Sustainable by Design Bootcamp, held in Ispra (Italy), where he presented ITENE’s progress in developing sustainable solutions under the BIO-SUSHY project. 💧 At ITENE, we remain committed to researching new materials that protect human health and the environment, contributing to a more circular and responsible economy. #ITENE #Research #Innovation #Sustainability 

🔬 Biosensors for a safer and more sustainable future At ITENE, one of our main research lines focuses on the development of biosensors for the detection of chemical and microbiological contaminants, helping to protect both human health and the environment. In this context, our experts Alejandro Hernández Albors and María José Juárez Rodríguez took part in the 5th edition of the European Biosensor Symposium EuroBiosens 2025, held last week in Tarragona (Spain). 🔹 Alejandro presented the latest advances from the European project NIAGARA Project EU, in which ITENE participates, aimed at developing innovative solutions to assess and mitigate contamination in drinking water. 🔹 María José shared progress from the ECOSALIS and SENTINEL projects, funded by Instituto Valenciano de Competitividad e Innovación IVACE +i (Generalitat Valenciana) with ERDF support, which focus on new technologies for contaminant monitoring and control. 🌍 At ITENE, we continue advancing in the development of solutions that protect health and the environment through applied research and technological innovation. #ITENE #Research #Innovation
