World Bee Day celebrates the tiny pollinators that help our ecosystems flourish and promote biodiversity. Across our five CHANDON estates around the world, we work to create environments where nature can thrive, from native plantings and green corridors to regenerative vineyard practices that support healthy, living soils. On this journey, bees are our essential allies. In Brazil, CHANDON teams care for 60 hives in Encruzilhada do Sul and 20 more in Garibaldi, encouraging pollination across our vineyards. In California, more than 150 hives are active throughout the estate as part of our broader sustainability commitments, including Bee Friendly Farming certification. At CHANDON China, our teams continue to share knowledge through beekeeping and honey harvesting workshops introduced in 2022. Beyond pollination, bees are powerful indicators of environmental health. Their presence reflects thriving biodiversity, resilient landscapes, and the interconnected ecosystems that shape our terroirs. A blend of 95/5% chardonnay/meunier sourced from our vineyards at 800m in the Whitlands high plateau. “A lovely wine to enjoy now and over the next three to four years.” • Cuvée 205 2021: Gold, 95 points (The Real Review). Ranked #1 of 33 2021 sparkling whites from Australia. “An impressive wine that will work best with food.” The 205 cuvée refers to the 205-litre barrels in which the wine is fermented and matured. • Terroir Yarra Valley 2020: Gold, 95 points (Halliday). A blend of 57/43% pinot noir/chardonnay. “The palate is very even, landing softly on the chalky, persistent finish. Plant life sustains us, purifies the air we breathe, and provides a livelihood to countless people around the world. On the United Nations International Day of Plant Health, we reflect on how we can give back to the planet to ensure the longevity of our fertile lands. At CHANDON, we do this by promoting and protecting biodiversity. Across all our estates, we leave soils covered year-round to improve soil quality, prevent erosion, retain water, and encourage biodiversity to flourish naturally. Depending on the terroir, native species grow spontaneously or are carefully reintroduced. Cover crops, green corridors, eco-grazing, and pollinator protection all play a role in creating healthier and more resilient ecosystems. Today, 30% of our estates are dedicated to biodiversity protection corridors that restore native vegetation and provide shelter for birds, insects, and animals. We are also working toward 100% of our 1,400 hectares of vineyards being certified under regenerative agriculture by 2028 and becoming 100% herbicide-free this year. In California, 268 hectares are already certified Regenified Tier 4, while in China, 70 hectares of vineyards and the winery itself are certified organic. Across all five estates, biodiversity audits and collaborations with researchers and universities continue to help us learn, adapt, and innovate. Celebrating World Day for Safety and Health at Work. A safe, healthy workplace is fundamental to our 600 employees, partners, communities, and long-term sustainability. At CHANDON, we raise awareness, encourage dialogue, and reinforce that wellbeing at work, both physical and psychological, is a key priority. For Moët Hennessy, Health & Safety is a core pillar of how we operate across our Wines & Spirits Maisons. Through the annual Best Health & Safety Initiative, teams around the world are invited to share ideas and innovations that strengthen safety culture and performance.   This year, we are proud to see CHANDON recognized among the winners, with CHANDON Brazil receiving the Forklift Safety Award (2nd place), and CHANDON Australia receiving the Psychosocially Safe Workplace Award (3rd place).    At CHANDON Brazil, our teams have developed an intelligent forklift safety system combining sensors, alerts, and access control to prevent accidents and improve operational safety. The initiative has strengthened awareness, enhanced control over equipment use, and contributed to a safer working environment across the winery. “Safety excellence is a journey, not a destination,” says Leandro Fracaro Faccin, our Quality, Food Safety & Occupational Safety Systems Manager, who constantly analyses safety data to identify improvements.    At CHANDON Australia, home to 100 employees, the focus has been on fostering a psychologically safe workplace, encouraging open conversations about how work feels, equipping teams to recognize psychosocial hazards, and promoting respectful, inclusive interactions through programs such as Respect@Work and leadership roundtables. Earth Day. A time to show up for the planet. At CHANDON, across our five wineries in unexpected lands, each terroir carries its own history, culture, and ecosystem. We operate with the highest consideration for these singularities, committed to preserving them for future generations. We call this mission Lands of Diversity, and it stands on three pillars. The first is regenerative agriculture. We are working toward 100% of our 1,400 hectares being certified under regenerative agriculture by 2028 and becoming 100% herbicide-free this year. Cover crops are widely implemented, eco-grazing helps restore natural balance, and 100% drip irrigation protects our most precious resource: water. 80% of our glass is already low-emission green glass, with a goal of 100% eco-designed products by 2030. In line with LVMH's commitments, we're targeting a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions (Scopes 1, 2 & 3) by 2030. The second is protection and recovery of biodiversity. Today, 30% of our estates are dedicated to biodiversity corridors — spaces that restore native vegetation and provide shelter for birds, insects, and animals. Biodiversity is actively monitored across all our vineyards, because a thriving ecosystem isn't just good for the land — it's the soul of everything we make. The third is sharing knowledge with our communities. As responsible farmers and winemakers, we see our estates as open, living observatories of climate change and its impact on related eco-systems: places where we listen and learn, test new practices, and share knowledge alongside researchers, employees, and local partners. The earth gives us our fruit. It is our duty, our joy, and our privilege to care for it in return, today and every day.
