  • Belonging doesn’t happen through one big moment. It’s built over time through conversations, collaboration, respect for different perspectives, and feeling like your voice matters. 🤝 That’s what United Week is all about at Veolia. Each year, it allows our global teams to celebrate diversity, strengthen inclusion, and reflect on the culture we continue building together. 💧 This year’s theme focuses on belonging — what it feels like, what it requires from each of us, and how the everyday moments we share with colleagues can shape our workplace in meaningful ways. United Week also aligns with the United Nations World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development on May 21, reinforcing the idea that our differences help connect us and move us forward. 🌍 Our regional leaders share personal reflections on what belonging means to them. Swipe below to read from Isabelle Pavelic, Luis Franco, Livia Sabino, Cindy Chuai, and Sami ul-haq Osmani-FCA how culture, connection, and inclusion shape our global community. ➡️ #UnitedWeek #Veolia #WaterTech #Diversity #Inclusion #CompanyCulture

  • For Evgeny Rybalchenko, environmental protection isn't just a job – it's a calling. His passion for environmental technology drives him to dedicate even holidays to crucial plant commissioning and training. Evgeny recounts the "alchemy" of a plant he designed, where highly contaminated industrial wastewater is transformed into clean water. By reducing the COD (the organic pollutant load) from a heavy 6,000 mg/L to less than 40 mg/L—essentially taking it from liquid waste (12 times higher than typical sewage)to clear, safe water—this process proves the power of multi-stage chemical, physical, and biological treatment. Beyond the impressive numbers, his true reward lies in seeing his work directly improve people's living conditions and protect nature. This success is made possible by the incredible teamwork of Veolia experts, high-quality components, and years of dedication. Evgeny’s story is a reminder of the real-world impact we can achieve together. 🌏💧    Inspired by Evgeny’s story? Join us in shaping a sustainable future! The roadmap to Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) just got a lot shorter. A new market report from Global Water Intelligence (GWI) confirms what we’ve seen on the ground: Osmotically Assisted Reverse Osmosis (OARO) is officially hitting the mainstream. As industries pivot toward mineral recovery and ultra-efficient water loops, OARO is proving to be the missing link between standard RO and costly thermal evaporation. 💧 While the industry is just now waking up to OARO’s potential, Veolia has been refining this tech for over a decade. From established installations across Asia to our latest high-impact projects in the U.S. semiconductor sector, we’re proving that high-salinity treatment doesn’t have to mean high energy costs. What sets our approach apart? ➡️ Thermal Displacement: Our Low Salt Rejection RO (LSRRO) arrays can concentrate brine to the point where they bypass evaporators entirely, feeding directly into crystallizers. ➡️ Operational Flexibility: Our multi-stage designs thrive under ultra-high pressure and/or high pH—a capability demonstrated by our recent ZLD projects for a major semiconductor client. This also makes them a proven solution for lithium recovery and ideal for complex feeds like produced water.  ➡️ Impactful Efficiency: By downsizing or replacing thermal hardware, we’re helping partners slash Opex by up to 60%, significantly lowering the carbon footprint of brine management. The future of industrial water isn't just about disposal—it's about valorization. Whether it’s recovering battery-grade lithium or hitting ambitious MLD targets, we’re turning "waste" into a resource.
