Liquid Light / A Real Illusion

As with many other people up to this point I have only experienced this phenomena on open straight and seemingly endless roads. The shimmering horizontal bands of sliver hovering just above the road miles ahead. These are caused by heated air rising from the surface of road and refracting the light wave to literally appear as shimmering water on that infinite point know as the horizon.

Yah know Nathan years ago Badwater referred to the Spring and the lowest point out in the salt pan, these days not only do all the spell check want to correct the spelling the name refers to a good part of the salt basin as Badwater Basin. Until you. are up and around the VC and Harmony Borax it turns to [ed] Cottonball Basin.
And I'm sorry this is not water, my fault I did not make it clear in my description this is a "mirage"!

Very desolate...I can imagine being low on drinking water and crawling through this part of of the world, you would be so full of a illusion seeing this mirage, that you would attempt to jump into this imaginary water...
