Holding the Line

Being snowed in in North Carolina I have had some time to continue to experiment with this "fine art" editing style. This photo was taken in 2015 but here it is with a brand new look.

I have a series of lighthouses I have edited in this same kind of style. This editing style is accomplished by removing the background allowing my subject to be front and center. The sky here is a long exposure sky from another photo I took. I just transformed into something I thought looked good. I think the sky here also kind of looks like "god rays" shining down.

Anyways, thanks for looking.

Kyle I think you can consider this one beyond the experimental phase!
But if you must play some more due to the latest snow how about extent the sky and beams and adding a moon upper left ... after all aren't those "moon beams" ;) Stay warm and safe.

Thanks Paul! Funny you should say that. I've been thinking of a way to incorporate the moon in to one of my creations. I haven't quite got it envisioned yet what I want. I also don't have a ton of moon photos at the size I would like. And if you transform it too much it starts to look weird. But I'm going to get it figured out at some point. Stay tuned!
