Mod Breezy is a Game Designer at Jagex[2] working on RuneScape as part of the Episodic Content team, and is also a member of the balancing council. The NPC Farhad at the Kharid-et Dig Site is based on him, and his dialogue is a nod to his mod name. He has played RuneScape since 2006.

Working for Jagex
[edit | edit source]2018
[edit | edit source]Mod Breezy joined Jagex in July of 2018 as a Junior QA Analyst alongside Mods Shrew, Camel, and Titan, with Mod Shogun serving as his QA mentor.
His first project was the Mining and Smithing rework, which was over halfway through development when he joined the Four Direction team (Mod Jack, Tomb, Doctor, Stu, Joe, and Shogun). He also worked on the third run of the Parcels from the Hedge event (with Mod Ryan), and participated in the October 2018 Game Jam (with Mod Shrew) to create the Morytania Slayer Tower dungeon[4] and Fire Spirit improvements.
At RuneFest 2018, he appeared as part of a panel "A Day in the Life of a JMod". Near the end of the Mining and Smithing rework's development he joined the balancing council.
2019
[edit | edit source]Mod Breezy was involved with the development of the completionist cape rework through the first half of 2019 (released on 24 June); during that time, he also worked on adding miniquests to the quest list with Mod Stu, the Desperate Times quest, and early level designs for Anachronia.
His next project was with the Mobile team (Mod Pi, Stu, Asherz, Sova, and Giara), working on the first time user experience (FTUE) project which focused on improvements to the early game tutorial in Burthorpe. He later worked on the Weapon Diversity project, creating various new weapon effects for the beta.
In late 2019, with the restructuring of Jagex's development teams, Mod Breezy joined the Episodic Content team, with his only core project being 120 Farming & Herblore and The Ranch Out of Time (with Mods Raven, Tomb, Orion, and Camel). Additionally, he also worked on War's Retreat with Mods Ryan, Iago, Camel, Cel, Fenix, Deadly, and Alex.
2020-2021
[edit | edit source]Mod Breezy joined the revival of the Ninja Team in February 2020 (with Mods Erator, Kalaya, and Abe); as part of the one year anniversary of the team's revival, he worked on the Tortle Combat miniquest, which released in February 2021. His job title was also changed from Junior QA Analyst to QA Analyst.
He also worked on the Guardian's Gift (made as compensation for the 2021 server login issues), as well as the event weeks of April and May 2021, which saw themed buffs for certain content (ex. skilling, combat, D&D) that lasted a week each.
Towards the end of 2021, Breezy also helped work on Leonard's Lucky Dip and Frank's Free Deaths.
2022
[edit | edit source]Mod Breezy rejoined the Episodic Content team in early 2022 after the Ninja Team disbanded again, working as QA on Zamorak, Lord of Chaos (with Mod Ramen and Sponge), as well as leading the level design of the elite dungeon portion of the boss.
In July, Breezy's job title was changed from QA Analyst to Junior Game Designer. For the remainder of the year, he would be involved in varying degrees with Wilderness Flash Events, the Master Max Cape, Treasure Hunter rewards, Necromancy.
Lastly, he was involved in making initial designs for a new kind of season-long reward for 2023, akin to the Infernal Puzzle Box. This idea later evolved into Fort Forinthry, where each new update would introduce buildings and rewards to add to the fort, as well as focus on expanding skilling and PvM content. As such, the final part of the year saw him help design rewards for the Fort's Kitchen, which was to be released in early 2023.
2023
[edit | edit source]Mod Breezy joined the Live Ops team early in the year to help support mid-development with the Hero Pass, in which he was consulted for improvements to Yak Track in terms of balancing and art direction. In addition, he was also involved in supporting other development teams, having some light involvement with Necromancy.
In March, design and development begun on updates to the Woodcutting skill in tandem with the Grove for Fort Forinthry, with Breezy being involved in investigating aspects of the skill to address alongside progressing the Fort Forinthry quest series.
During this time, he was also involved in an as-of-yet unannounced project, alongside supporting development with the Hero Pass.
In the later half of the year, Mod Breezy coordinated across various development teams to give players Santa's Activity Flyer, which was a short-form roadmap of updates slated for release during that period. In addition, he was involved with partially managing the Community Hitlist team, who were responsible for a series of quality of life updates sourced directly from player suggestions, including update prioritisation and production.
2024
[edit | edit source]At the beginning of 2024, Mod Breezy was assigned as a dedicated designer for the Episodic Team. In March, he worked alongside Mod Jack on early designs for the 110 Mining and Smithing update. He was assigned as project lead and designer on the update in the following month during its pre-production phase, working with Mods Stu and Mickey as part of The Pioneers team to then develop the update.
In August, as the team was finishing off the update, they moved to work on the 110 Woodcutting and Fletching update. During development, Breezy was also involved in the design and development of the 110 Runecrafting update at the same time, acting as design overview and support.
2025
[edit | edit source]In early 2025 Breezy got more involved directly with 110 Runecrafting as it neared release. He was also involved in the early high-level designs and discovery of Havenhythe, as well as the Augmented Runecrafting and Theiving update. At RuneFest 2025, Breezy featured as a presenter for the RuneScape Ahead Keynote, as well as appearing on two panels - "Runescape Ahead: Expanded" and "Adventuring to New Lands".
After Runefest and the release of 110 Runecrafting in early March, he started work with the Pioneers team on the 110 Crafting update which released mid-June of that year. Following that release Breezy was moved over to support the design and development of Runescape's first League, Catalyst. Following the release of the Catalyst League, Breezy was tasked with designing the Inverted Cape event as part of the 25th Anniversary Celebrations with Mod Shrike. After design was complete, Breezy moved on to work on the integrity roadmap for 2026, beginning with the early game rebalance and UI update as well as planning and design for the rest of the integrity roadmap.
2026
