Quality support for persons with disabilities and carers of persons with disabilities

On 3 December, as part of the European Parliament’s Disability Rights Week, the EMPL Committee will hold a public hearing on the quality of support available to persons with disabilities and to families caring for children or adults with disabilities.
The event will shed light on the daily challenges faced by young persons with disabilities and families lacking adequate support services. Policymakers and experts will discuss options to advance a coherent Framework for Social Services of Excellence and explore measures needed to ensure access to high-quality, person-centred support in both workplace and community settings.
