The Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development holds a hearing on “The actors in the agricultural supply chain and their role in price formation: problems and perspectives”.

This hearing aims to foster a comprehensive discussion on the current price formation mechanisms and to identify the best strategies to protect farmers against unfair trading practices in the price formation.

The first panel will focus on market power and competition in the agri-food sector, while during the second one the discussion will examine the trading practices in agricultural markets.
