Ordinary Meeting of 8 October 2025, Strasbourg, IN CAMERA

The meeting was held in camera.There were two main agenda points, the Debriefing on the mission to the 46th General Assembly of AIPA in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 18-20 September 2025 and the Exchange of views with the EEAS on the Thailand-Cambodia border conflict.

The delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the ASEAN has elected its 1st and 2nd vice chairs:

1st Vice Chair: MENDIA Idoia, S&D, Spain

2nd Vice Chair: VASILE-VOICULESCU Vlad, Renew, Romania

Ordinary meeting of 2 April 2025, Strasbourg, IN CAMERA

The meeting was dedicated to the debriefing and exchange of views on the mission to the 13th EU-Thailand IPM in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand, held from 24-27 February 2025.

There was also a briefing by the European Commission Humanitarian Office (ECHO) and the European External Action Service (EEAS) on 'EU response in view of the 28 March earthquake in Myanmar'.

On 13 February 2025 DASE was briefed and held preparatory exchanges for the 13th EU-Thailand IPM in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand, with
- Ms Leila Fernandez Stembridge, Head of Division for Southeast Asia (ASIAPAC.3), European External Action Service (EEAS) and

- Ms Silvia Formentini, Team Leader for EU-Southeast Asia trade relations, DG TRADE, South and South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand Unit (TRADE.C.2), European Commission

On 12 December, DASE held an exchange of views on EU-ASEAN relations with

• Ms Leila Fernández Stembridge, Head of Division for Southeast Asia (ASIAPAC.3), the European External Action Service (EEAS) and

• Mr Christophe Kiener, Head of Unit, DG TRADE, South and South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand Unit, European Commission

The constitutive meeting of the European Parliament's Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the ASEAN (DASE) held its constitutive meeting for the 10th parliamentary term (2024-2029) and elected its Chair on Tuesday, 8 October 2024, at 13.40 in Strasbourg in room WEISS S 1.4.

Wouter BEKE (EPP, Belgium) has been elected Chair. The vice chairs will be elected in the next upcoming DASE meeting.
