Next Meeting of the EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee: 23 September 2026
The 33rd EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee Meeting will be taking place in Mexico City from 22-24 September 2026. Apart from the JPC Meeting on 23 September, the programme of the visit will include a series of high-level meetings with local counterparts as well as with the business community and civil society.
Meeting of the EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee from 27-29 October 2025
The 32nd EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee Meeting was taking place in Mexico City from 27-29 October 2025. The programme of the visit included a series of high-level meetings with the business community as well as the interparliamentary meeting with the Mexican Senate and Congress.
The JPC covered the following topics:
- Modernized Global Agreement: Next steps for ratification
- Gender policies and challenges in their implementation by region
- Security and Regional Challenges in this Area
- Migration, legislative challenges
- Energy Transition and Sovereignty

Meeting of the EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee of 15 May 2025
The 31st meeting of EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee took place on 15 May 2025 in the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels.
As important topics, the Members of the Mexican Congress and Senate together with Members of the European Parliament selected:
- EU-Mexico relations: Past achievements and next steps
- Human Rights and gender policies
- Areas of increased bilateral cooperation including the strengthening of the rule of law in the EU and Mexico (in camera)
- EU and Mexico facing a challenging global scenario
- EU-Mexico cooperation on economy, trade and investments
A Joint declaration was signed at the end of the meeting.
