Parlamentné otázky

Parlamentné otázky sú otázky európskych poslancov adresované iným inštitúciám a orgánom Európskej únie. Sú priamym nástrojom parlamentnej kontroly, pokiaľ ide o ostatné inštitúcie a orgány EÚ.
Rozlišujeme tri kategórie parlamentných otázok:

  • Otázky na ústne zodpovedanie, ktoré sa predkladajú počas zasadnutí Parlamentu a sú zapísané v „rozprave dňa“ a po ktorých môže, ale nemusí nasledovať uznesenie (článok 142 rokovacieho poriadku)
  • Otázky v rámci „hodiny otázok“ položené počas plenárnych zasadnutí v čase vyhradenom na tento účel (článok 143 rokovacieho poriadku)
  • Otázky na písomné zodpovedanie formulované so žiadosťou o odpoveď v písomnej forme (článok 144 rokovacieho poriadku)
