Marriott International, Sage Hospitality Group break ground on Indianapolis' first The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C.

We’re proud to share that we have been selected to manage The Ritz-Carlton, Indianapolis as part of a new sports and entertainment district taking shape in downtown Indianapolis. This project builds on two things that define who we are. We continue to be the only franchise operator of The Ritz-Carlton brand in the United States, now with two Ritz-Carlton hotels under management. It also deepens our leadership in creating hospitality destinations alongside stadiums and entertainment venues, where hotels, dining, live events and community come together. Sage showed up strong at The Hospitality Show, hosted earlier this week by the American Hotel & Lodging Association and HOTEL MANAGEMENT Magazine in Denver. One of the standout moments? Erik Kreft, General Manager of One Ocean Resort & Spa, was named GM of the Year, Independent Property by Hotel Management Magazine. Chosen from a nationwide pool of nominees, Erik was honored for leading with compassion, integrity, and a deep commitment to creating a sense of belonging. Change is coming to Atlantic Beach. In Spring 2026, One Ocean Resort and Spa will complete its transformation into into Dune House Hotel and Spa, a soulful boutique destination where the ocean meets elevated hospitality. Dune House is being created to be more than a hotel. It will be a place to gather, recharge, and connect, shaped by the beauty of the shoreline and the spirit of the local community. Sage Studio, our in-house design and creative team, is leading the vision for this reintroduction. In collaboration with New York’s Islyn Studio, they are crafting interiors and experiences that balance sophistication with ease, creating spaces where design, food, and service reflect the rhythm of the coast.
