Create a collaborative post

Last updated: 2 months ago

Important to know

This feature is rolling out gradually and may not be available to you yet. Only members in the early access program can create collaborative posts. Members with access can invite connections or Pages to collaborate.

You can invite collaborators when creating a post so more people can see and engage with it.

Before you start

  • You can invite up to five collaborators per post.
  • Collaborative posts must be public.
  • Collaboration is available for text posts, image and multi-image posts, video posts, third-party link posts, storyline posts, document posts, celebration posts, polls, and events.
Adding collaborators to a post

To create a Collaborative Post:

  1. Click Start a post at the top of your LinkedIn homepage to share a post.

  2. Type the content of your post.

  3. Click Add collaborators.

  4. Search for connections and select their names.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Click Post.

    • Invited collaborators will get a notification to accept or decline.

What happens next

  • If collaborators accept, the post appears on their profile with them listed as collaborators.
  • If collaborators decline, the post stays on your profile only.
