The training, which granted Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units to participating educators, was attended by a total of 520 participants—497 via Zoom and 23 in person. Through this transformative training, Basileño teachers are being equipped with innovative digital productivity tools designed to streamline classroom management, enhance lesson delivery, and foster student engagement in dynamic, tech-integrated ways. DICT’s initiative is more than just a skills upgrade, it’s a commitment to empowering our local educators to meet the challenges of 21st-century education head-on. By harnessing the power of technology, Basileño teachers are taking bold steps to become future-ready, inspiring the next generation of learners to think critically, collaborate effectively, and thrive in a digital world. #DICTR9BASULTA #DICTBAS #DigitalBayanihan

Jisc is collaborating with academic libraries across higher education to develop a library-centric view of its digital transformation framework. In this new piece for #CILIP's Information Professional magazine, Peter Findlay, Subject Matter Expert for Digital Scholarship (Content & Discovery) at Jisc, explores why a dedicated library focus is essential for digital transformation, and what lies ahead. Many organisations are experiencing rapid change in their digital practices. Taking control of these changes is often referred to as digital transformation and defined by EDUCAUSE as “a series of deep and coordinated culture, workforce and technology shifts that enable new educational and operating models and transform an institution’s operations, strategic directions, and value proposition.” Jisc has been developing this definition further, working with partner institutions to co-design an approach tailored to higher education and building on it’s 2023 Framework for Digital Transformation in Higher Education. 45 organisations, including #CILIP have partnered to co-design a library-specific lens on the framework. We were happy to kick off the ProsvITa for Educators event yesterday organized by Chernihiv.ITT Cluster and Chernihiv Polytechnic National Universityy! Connecting the real-world #IT business environment with academia is crucial for shaping the next generation of tech talent. The event, designed specifically for university faculty, aims to close the gap between curriculum and industry expectations by providing: 1. An overview of current IT market trends and the in-demand competencies from young professionals. 2. Practical recommendations for modernizing existing curricula. 3. #Workshops to develop concrete solutions for updating university courses. The day started strong with a welcome speech from our Operations Director Julia Daineko, followed by an insightful presentation on "THE IT MARKET TODAY: Trends, Competencies, Expectations" delivered by expert speakers: our Technology DirectorAnatoliy M.k and Olich Klymanskaa the HRD of SendPulse.
