➡️ Equal work deserves equal pay. Equal pay starts with pay transparency. 3 years ago, the EU agreed that payment of all employees should be clearly indicated, so that men and women receive the same. Now, the new rules are becoming a reality across Europe as EU countries implement them into national law. Check your new rights as a jobseeker or worker in the EU ⬇️: ✔️ Pay transparency for jobseekers ✔️ Right to information for employees ✔️ Gender pay gap reporting ✔️ Joint pay assessments Because more transparency builds fairer workplaces for everyone.

Civil society is crucial for a vibrant, inclusive and responsive democracy. Through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme, the EU has supported more than 6,000 civil society organisations from all Member States and eligible non-EU countries. Close to €100 million has been channelled to civil society organisations active in the fight against racism at European, national and grassroots level. These organisations help protect and promote rights and values, strengthen democratic participation and contribute to more inclusive societies across Europe. 🔗 Read more about the EU Anti-Racism Strategy 2026–2030: https://lnkd.in/e8vbrpKS

Gender equality is part of everyday life. Care. Work. Science. Home. Politics. Online spaces. The EU reaches 63.4/100 in the 2025 #GenderEquality Index — progress made, and we’re stepping it up. Over recent years, the EU has strengthened its track record with concrete action, including: 🔸 stronger rules on equal pay, 🔸 the Women on Boards Directive, 🔸 better protection against violence against women, and 🔸 €271 million invested in gender equality, including to combat violence against women, through the EU budget. Yet persistent gaps remain, particularly the care gap, the gender pension gap, and emerging risks such as cyberviolence and biased AI. That is why the EU has put forward a new Gender Equality Strategy 2026–2030, covering all areas of life, online and offline. Our journey towards a true #UnionOfEquality continues.
