Looking forward to my presentation at the Open Data Panel Session during the 61st Meeting of the Asia Pacific Advanced Network Conference (APAN 61), taking place in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I’m delighted to join an excellent panel chaired by Veerachai Tanpipat (ThaiREN) and featuring Matti Heikkurinen (CODATA), Iryna Kuchma (EIFL), Trish Radotic 🚀 Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC), Yu Chen (CNIC, Chinese Academy of Sciences), and Ai Sugiura (UNESCO).
In my presentation, I highlight open research infrastructure as a critical pillar for adopting Open Science, in line with the 2021 UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science, with a focus on DataCite and persistent identifiers as enablers of trusted, open, and interoperable research systems. I also share a use case from Thailand, where the DataCite Consortium led by the National Research Council of Thailand is supporting institutions nationwide through a sustainable model. 📄 Slides are available here: https://lnkd.in/dmV6af8j
