Arrows are a type of ammunition used with bows. Most arrows can be created by players using the Fletching skill.

Most low-level arrows require some arrowshafts (cut from most types of log), feathers, and arrowheads to be fletched. The arrow made is determined by the type of arrowheads used.

Arrows have a chance of breaking after being fired, losing the arrow. The chance of losing an arrow is 15% per shot (not per hit; multi-hit abilities count as one shot). Remaining arrows will appear on the ground under the enemy and can be picked up. One method of preventing losing dropped arrows is to use Ava's device, which collects ammunition in combat. At level 50 Ranged, this becomes a passive effect. This requires the player to have completed the quest Animal Magnetism.

Damage scaling

Arrows may be used with bows that are lower level than themselves, but their damage will be capped at the bow's level. For example, if one were to use level 60 dragon arrows with a level 40 yew shortbow, the arrows would perform as level 40 arrows because the bow is level 40. Conversely, if one were to use level 30 mithril arrows with a level 70 dark bow, the arrows would still perform as level 30 despite the higher level bow.

Quivers

There are several quivers that can be filled with arrows and equipped to gain Prayer bonuses and other passive effects. These include the various levels of Tirannwn quivers, which hold one ammo type at a time, as well as Pernix's quiver, which can hold two ammo types at a time. Pernix's quiver also has a passive effect that increases the maximum damage of Ranged attacks by +4% when fighting targets that are under 25% health.

		Deathspore	782		Sprout from Death: Every Ranged hit you deal grants a stack of Feasting Spores. This includes Perfect Equilibrium buff. When 12 stacks of Feasting Spores are obtained, they are consumed to grant a 15 ticks (9 seconds) buff that makes the next Ranged ability that would cost adrenaline free; this includes special attacks. The buff has a 50 ticks (30s) cooldown; during the cooldown Feasting Spores stacks cannot be gained. The cooldown begins at the same time as the buff.

Icy Precision blocks consumption of Icy Chill and gives Ranged enhanced and ultimate abilities (and special attacks) +30% hit chance and +30% base damage. The consuming ultimate or enhanced ability benefits from this damage buff, but not the hit chance buff.
