AFET and BUDG will jointly hold the fourth Dialogue on the Reform and Growth Facility for the Western Balkans and the second Dialogue on the Reform and Growth Facility for the Republic of Moldova. Gert Jan KOOPMAN, Director-General of the Commission's DG ENEST, will brief Members on the state of play of the implementation of the relevant reform agendas and the disbursement of funds from the facilities.
This joint meeting will enable the three lead Committees and the eleven opinion-giving Committees to provide an overview of the nearly 6 500 amendments to the NRP draft regulation tabled by Members. Co-rapporteurs and shadows as well as rapporteurs for opinion will present the scope of amendments and the underlying priorities of their committees.
Members of the Committee on Budgets will vote on the budgetary assessments relating to several sectoral proposal from the Commission on proposed legislations for the 2028-2034 timeframe: Asylum, Migration and Integration (AMI); Schengen area, European integrated border management and common visa policy (SBV); Internal Security (IS); Common Fisheries Policy; European Social Fund (ESF); Justice programme; AgoraEU; Euratom; European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Cohesion Fund.
On July 14, at a joint exchange of views, the Parliament’s Budgets and Budgetary Control Committees will examine the Commission’s plan to unlock up to EUR 16 billion in EU funds for Hungary. Executive Vice President Raffaele Fitto, Budget, Anti-Fraud and Public Administration Commissioner Piotr Serafin, and Democracy, Justice, Rule of Law, and Consumer Protection Commissioner Michael McGrath will represent the Commission.
