Perguntas parlamentares

As perguntas parlamentares são perguntas que os deputados europeus dirigem a outras instituições e órgãos da União Europeia. Constituem um instrumento direto de fiscalização parlamentar das outras instituições e órgãos da UE.
Existem três categorias distintas de perguntas parlamentares:

  • As perguntas orais, que são abordadas nas sessões parlamentares e inscritas nos «Debates» do dia e que podem resultar, ou não, numa resolução ( artigo 142.º )
  • As perguntas para o «período de perguntas», que são apresentadas nas sessões plenárias em momentos reservados para o efeito ( artigo 143.º )
  • As perguntas escritas, apresentadas com pedido de resposta por escrito ( artigo 144.º )
