Since the start of the ceasefire in Gaza, UNICEF has been scaling up our response for children and families. With partners, we have been distributing key supplies like hygiene items to ensure protection from disease and hearing aids for children with hearing loss. UNICEF continues to call for the ceasefire to be maintained, a surge of much-needed goods and materials into Gaza, and safe access both for civilians and humanitarians.

Seven-year-old Khang and his cousin Linh share a joyful moment in their home in Cao Bang province, Viet Nam. The house is still marked with mud in the aftermath of the recent typhoons. Khang’s house was almost completely flooded, so he and his family had to move to his grandmother’s home on higher ground. He misses school and his friends — and hopes things can soon feel normal again. UNICEF and partners are helping children like Khang recover from Typhoons Bualoi and Matmo by restoring classrooms, providing clean water, health care, cash and psychosocial support so families can rebuild their lives.
