Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Luis Guillermo Solís, President of Costa Rica

The Secretary-General met today with President Luis Guillermo Solís of Costa Rica.  They discussed the post-2015 development agenda and the Secretary-General urged the President to reflect the goals in national development plans.  

They also discussed the selection process for the next Secretary-General of the United Nations. The Secretary-General and the President exchanged views on the Climate Change meeting in Paris and Costa Rica’s submission of its Intended Nationally Determined Contribution.
