Every year on 26 September, Europe comes together to celebrate the European Day of Languages. With 24 official EU languages, plus many regional and minority languages, Europe has a vibrant mix of voices and cultures: they connect people, open doors to a new word and new experiences.

The State of the European Union address, or “SOTEU”, is the annual speech delivered by the President of the European Commission to the European Parliament in Strasbourg every September, to kick-start the new political year.
