Workshop on Exploring the Feasibility of a European Senior/Pensioner Card

The aim of the public hearing on "Own Resources for the future: critical review & opportunities" is to evaluate the expected impact of the proposed basket of new own resources (Commission proposal 2025/0574(CNS)) on the Union's financial autonomy and resilience, critically analyse potential adoption challenges and weaknesses, and assess alternative revenue sources as complementary or possible substitute options.

On 27 January, from 16:30 to 17:30, the study on the future of EU tax policy harmonisation will be presented in the FISC Subcommittee meeting. On 19 January 2026, the Members of the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Members of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs held a joint exchange of views with the Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection Michael McGrath on the Justice programme for the period 2028-2034.
