Workshop on Exploring the Feasibility of a European Senior/Pensioner Card
On 27 January 2026, the Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT) organised the public hearing “Protection of the financial interests of the EU in Slovakia”.
On 27 January, from 16:30 to 17:30, the study on the future of EU tax policy harmonisation will be presented in the FISC Subcommittee meeting. The purpose of the study is to analyse how fragmented tax rules in the EU could create economic and administrative costs, i.e. the cost of non-Europe, in taxation.
On Tuesday, 27 January 2026, from 15:00 to 16:30, the Subcommittee on Tax Matters (FISC) will organise a public hearing on “Tackling tax obstacles in the Single Market”. Experts will present their views and discuss with FISC Members how to address remaining tax-related obstacles and distortions in the Single Market.
What implications for parliamentary oversight and transparency?
On 19 January 2026, the Members of the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Members of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs held a joint exchange of views with the Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection Michael McGrath on the Justice programme for the period 2028-2034.

Σύμφωνα με το άρθρο 193 του Κανονισμού, οι επιτροπές μπορούν να διοργανώνουν ακροάσεις με τη συμμετοχή εμπειρογνωμόνων, όταν αυτό κρίνεται ουσιώδους σημασίας για το έργο τους επί ενός συγκεκριμένου θέματος. Οι ακροάσεις μπορούν να διοργανώνονται από κοινού, από δύο ή περισσότερες επιτροπές. Οι περισσότερες επιτροπές διοργανώνουν ακροάσεις τακτικά, εφόσον αυτό τους επιτρέπει να ενημερώνονται για τις απόψεις εμπειρογνωμόνων και να συζητούν μαζί τους για τα σημαντικότερα θέματα. Στη σελίδα αυτή θα βρείτε όλες τις διαθέσιμες πληροφορίες σχετικά με τις ακροάσεις επιτροπών, όπως τα προγράμματα, τις αφίσες και τους λόγους των ομιλητών.
Εργαστήρια
Τα εργαστήρια διοργανώνονται από τα θεματικά τμήματα και τη Μονάδα Διερεύνησης Επιστημονικών Προοπτικών (STOA) και η διαχείρισή τους πραγματοποιείται σύμφωνα με τον δημοσιονομικό κανονισμό. Δεν είναι απαραίτητο να λαμβάνουν χώρα δημοσίως αλλά είναι δυνατό να πραγματοποιούνται στο πλαίσιο συνεδριάσεων επιτροπών.
