Europese burgerinitiatieven
Met het Europees burgerinitiatief kunnen één miljoen burgers uit ten minste een kwart van de EU-lidstaten de Europese Commissie verzoeken om wetgeving voor te stellen op gebieden waarvoor zij bevoegd is. De organisatoren van succesvolle initiatieven worden uitgenodigd om hun initiatief toe te lichten tijdens een openbare hoorzitting in het Europees Parlement, voor de ter zake bevoegde wetgevingscommissie. On Tuesday, 2 December 2025, the organisers of the European Citizens' Initiative will present their initiative at a public hearing held by the FEMM committee with involvement of PETI and with the participation of the DEVE, SANT and LIBE committees in presence of Hadja Lahbib, Commissioner for Equality; Preparedness and Crisis Management.
